WW1 Research

Helping Harry Baron from Chorley find details of his father’s war service
Having researched over 320 men from two local villages in Lancashire, plus over 230 ‘Chorley Pals’, I offer a research service for those seeking information on family members who fought in the First World War.
I charge £15 for a search of all available public records (it helps if you have a name, unit and serial number) + a further £5 for a simple interpretation / summary (i.e. battles he fought in, where he may have been wounded and treated, how to visit a grave or memorial, etc.). If nothing can be found, then this is reduced to a basic charge of £10 (be aware that there is only a 40% chance of some records surviving at the National Archives).
If you wish for further research by way of visits to local Libraries, Regimental Museums or even photographing a grave in France or Belgium, then this is done at an agreed rate and timetable.
