Cab ride on ‘Pacer’ train

I was fortunate to be allowed to ride in the cab of a Northern Rail ‘Pacer’ diesel passenger train in June last year.

I travelled from Preston to Blackburn on 142 032, and videoed the part of the journey from Bamber Bridge to Blackburn Station.

The units are finally being phased out after nearly 40 years in service.
